For several years, the CIVICUS Participatory Governance programme has worked to promote the democratization of key multilateral development institutions and to strengthen the voice of civil society in global policy-making and decision-making processes. The objective of this new phase of the CIVICUS Participatory Governance programme is to enhance the capacity of southern civil society and government actors to promote and practice participatory governance at the national and local levels.
