Currents of change: Exploring Relationships Between Teaching, Learning and Development
This report seeks to deepen understandings about the key issues concerning the interrelationships between education, participation, and social change.
In April 2005, a diverse group of people from 14 countries and 20 different institutions came together for a workshop on learning teaching and social change. The event formed an important milestone in the "Learning and Teaching for Transformation" (LTT) initiative. Based on international dialogue and cooperation, the LTT initiative aims to enhance the capacity of higher education institutions to develop and deliver effective programmes that contribute to a wider transformation of individuals, institutions and society. Inspired by the discussions that took place at the workshop, this report, "Currents of Change", seeks to deepen understandings about the key issues concerning the interrelationships between education, participation, and social change.
