Overhead Rate Policy for CIDA's Contribution Agreements and Non-Competitive Service Contracts - August 1999
Guidelines on Canadian International Development Agency's policy on indirect costsThe purpose of this document is to provide guidelines on the calculation of overhead rates for organizations working with the Canadian International Development Agency (CIDA). More specifically, this document outlines:
1) the costs or expenses considered by CIDA to be recoverable overhead costs which form part of the overhead rate applicable to that organization; and
2) the method of calculation used to determine the overhead rate to be applied in certain contribution agreements and non-competitive contracts with CIDA.
(Note: In this context, the term "organizations" is taken to mean incorporated Canadian for-profit and not-for-profit organizations, partnerships, and sole-proprietor businesses)
The Overhead Rate Policy as set out in this document will not be applicable to those instances where per diem fees considered to be inclusive of overhead have been, or are, established on a competitive basis.
