Gender at Work promotes women’s empowerment and gender equality through institutional change.
They accomplish this by analyzing an organization’s culture, policies and leadership, and by encouraging practical changes that have a direct, positive impact both on the organization and the communities it serves.
The network was founded by the Association for Women's Rights in Development (AWID), CIVICUS: World Alliance for Citizen Participation (CIVICUS), the United Nations Fund for Women (UNIFEM), and Women's Learning Partnership (WLP).
