The Annie E. Casey Foundation and its partners are working to build a field of leaders capable of creating better futures for disadvantaged children and families.
This report documents the evolution of the foundation’s Leadership in Action Program (LAP), an innovative approach to leadership development that deliberately and directly seeks to improve outcomes and accelerate results on behalf of children, families, and communities.
Through LAP, community, nonprofit, and government agency managers are shown how to jointly focus on results and accelerate improvements for families creating change using facts and statistics. Using an intense, collaborative model, a group's collective vision for a targeted improvement is adopted, tailored and supported for immediate results and long-term change.
