Do you have a Success Story to share with INTRAC?
INTRAC is searching for Capacity Building Success Stories and offering prizes, which include a two-week exchange visit to INTRAC.INTRAC is preparing for its next major International Conference to be held in December 2006 with the focus on Organisational Capacity Building (OCB). This event will be of a strong advocacy-oriented nature–to influence policy makers with regard to their current and future approaches towards the capacity development of Civil Society Organisations.
INTRAC believes that concrete OCB interventions bring about the hoped for changes in the medium and long term (impact). In a bid to make this case, INTRAC is compiling evidence from its own and others’ capacity building practice. Capacity building practitioners, in particular those from the South, are invited to write to INTRAC with an outline of their capacity building success stories: impact from practice.
This opportunity is open to development NGO capacity building practitioners across the globe. Some of the biggest constraints to practitioners’ capacity to reflect and share their experiences are time, resources and incentive. The Praxis Programme hopes to overcome these barriers by providing some major encouragement to practitioners with stories to tell!
