Pan African Organization for Sustainable Development (POSDEV) has joined the Impact Alliance as a partner from Africa. POSDEV has been an active participant in the Impact Allaince since joining as a member in April, 2004. POSDEV's Director Lawrencia Adams attended the Impact Alliance Partners' Launch in Africa and Europe in Zambia last year.
POSDEV is an African network of national devleopment organizations in Niger, Burkina Faso, Mali, Zimbabwe, South Africa, Angola, Ghana, Benin and Sao Tome and Principe. The vision of POSDEV members is for the African continent to assume its rightful place in the development and eradication of poverty as well as all socio-economic ills prevalent in societies; they envision an empowered and self-reliant community which is based on grassroots movements fully participating in its upliftment. Partnership in the Impact Alliance is a leadership role in the network based on their committment to quality and innovation in capacity building as well as to working in this peer network. Organizations are invited to become a partner by other partners.
