Our History
The Impact Alliance was launched in 2002 as a partnership among a group of leading organizations from around the world seeking to scale-up their capacity to make a difference, and challenge the persistent patterns of fragmented international development and project-bound expertise.
In 2009, the Impact Alliance was incorporated as an independent non-profit organization. We remain committed to our founding principles of:
- Openness: encouraging more permeable organizations to acheive greater levels of responsiveness and performance
- Peer Exchange: connecting people with the ideas and expertise of others
- Global Action: pooling talent and resources to accelerate local innovations going to global scale
