In only nine weeks, dozens of countries and organizations have drafted and presented a total of 110 case stories on South-South cooperation in the context of aid effectiveness, responding to the call of the Task Team on South-South cooperation (TT-SSC).

The TT-SSC is identifying and analyzing South-South Cooperation (SSC) practices to understand what works and illuminate the synergies with the aid effectiveness agenda. The TT-SSC is especially interested in discovering and documenting cases that feature technical cooperation and capacity development among developing countries.

The results involve 133 countries, 10 multilateral and 5 non-governmental organizations, this is likely to be the broadest and most inclusive universe of country-led experiences in development cooperation.

The case stories provide critical inputs for growing a shared global knowledge base on effective practice and informing policy makers at the High Level Event on South-South Cooperation and Capacity Development to be held in Bogota, Colombia March 24th – 26th 2010, and on towards Seoul 2011.
