This two-in-one handbook  from UNFPA aims to help turn the concept of a 'human rights-based approach' into reality on the ground. It breaks down human rights-based approach into its various components, and provides a checklist for development practitioners to use in implementing and evaluating their programmes. It is divided into two parts dealing with an overview of human rights-based programming i.e. What is it and the implementiation of human rights-based programming i.e. How to do it. The handbook also focuses on the issues of gender and human rights-based programming.
