Call for applications for Managing for Impact (MfI) training workshop: Deadline 15 July
The second SMIP regional training workshop will be held in Lesotho from 17 to 27 September 2007.A training workshop will be held in Lesotho 17-27 September 2007 for service providers and project staff interested in developing their skills and capacity to implement an emerging approach to improving the impact of development interventions called ‘managing for impact’. The training is part of a regional learning and capacity building programme called Strengthening Management for Impact (SMIP) implemented by Wageningen International, ISNAR and Haramaya University, Khanya-aicdd and the Impact Alliance.
The first regional training workshop was held in Nairobi, Kenya from 19 to 29 March. Entitled Managing for Impact - from theory to practice; the workshop was attended by both service providers and representatives of pro-poor projects from eastern and southern Africa. Following the workshop, all 29 participants joined the MfI network as MfI associates and partners.
